Random Thoughts

*I had to report a 14 year old pregnant client to CPS yesterday. I don't like that part of my job too much. I don't like it that we see 14 year olds either (on their second pregnancy).
*I'm thankful that it appears I'm heading out of my first trimester with much less nausea!
*I need a deep Spring cleaning at my house!
*I'm wanting to do a few things this Spring: Sew an apron, really learn our GPS for geocaching, figure out how to make Quick Books automatically update itself from my bank account, and do some major decluttering.
*The story about the guy in Ellis county who's body parts showed up floating in two different lakes freaks me out. Can you imagine swimming and a leg floats up beside you!? Reminds me of the guy they found in a barrel in our lake years ago-anyone remember that? We were kids....
*I'm reading Cheaper by the Dozen. Don't worry, it's not inspiring me!
*I'm pumped about a garage sale, fabric buying, pedicure trip I'm taking next week-whoo hoo!
*I'm really touched by my husband's new "job" as resident counselor at work. Several guys have come to him lately for advice/support and he has offered to pray with fellow officers and even an inmate who was struggling with religion recently. I love my Shane!

I remember the barrel story! I didn't even live here, but he shared a name with my husband and he got some interesting glances when he showed up alive and well! His killer was executed a few years ago.

Have you seen the movie Cheaper by The Dozen? The original from the 40's? It is great. There was a sequel called Bells on Their Toes, which is pretty good too!

I need to watch it, I haven't...but this book is pretty funny. The Dad is annoying and so hilarious. Not sure if the '40s movie is close to the book, but the newest movie is nothing like the book, except that there are 12 kids.

I'm glad your husband didn't end up in a barrel...but you're young still, he could end up in one if he's not careful, ay?

I have the original Cheaper By The Dozen. Mom bought it for me for Christmas. I LOVE it. Much better than the new one. I love Lucy (ha ha)...

The orignal is great! The dad is annoying too....he makes them all have their tonsils removed at HOME!
And won't let his daughter go to the dance unless he is the chaparone!

Our high school did this as a musical performance. The original is completely different and very funny.

Ahh, y'all could have told me the dad dies in the last chapter! I was so caught off guard by that!

I think I'll see if our library has the sequel.

WAIT. I was thinking about the wrong movie... i was thinking about Yours Mine & Ours... oops. Now everyone probably thinks I'm a big 'ole dork who doesn't know her movies... :-)

Believe me, they'd be wrong if they thought that! Was the Lucy comment related to the mix up? Since I haven't seen the movie, I didn't catch it!
